It's not that complicated: Add up number of people: On welfare+ those who are employed by the government+ those who sell stuff to the government+those who need government to OK their business permits+those who hope to get free stuff AND all their families. Lincoln said it all " There are too many piglets for the number of teats on the sow." Inflation is another tax. Get ready a whopper. It's what happens when you just print money. After that remember what Geo. Soros said: "Chaos is opportunity" Pray for the USA.

Fidel, Try reading F.A. Hayek's "Road to Serfdom" or anything by Milton Friedman. Alan Greenspan, and the other neo-socialists, managed to flush down the tubes the dividends of 40 years of unprecented technological growth. The next forty years will not see this kind of productivity increase. Neo-socialists trying to ignore people like Adam Smith will prove to be very painful for all.
Only in Obama-la-la land does it make sense to subsidize the manufacturing of an automobile that few want or need. The only way to attract buyers into this nightmare is with big tax breaks and concessions. To compound this fool’s errand, it’s all financed with money borrowed from China. The Chevy Volt is just one small example. This monkey business has to stop.

Mr. Williams, Great article. It's going to be an uphill slog no matter who wins. If the federal, state and local government bureaucracies were people they would be morbidly obese, highly delusional and have many, many autoimmune diseases. With Romney/Ryan there is at least a chance.

Fidel, Consider what will happen when the checks and balances of the Constitution are gone. They will no longer need babbling paranoid political tics and leeches. If I were you I'd be more afraid of the gulags than paying someone to grow food.
Fidel, Thank you for sharing with us a peek into the paranoid delusional world of neo-socialism. It looks like a very scary place. Try deep breathing for a while, your brain is apparently not getting enough oxygen.

What I support is the government getting out of the controlling everyone's life choices. "Affordable Healthcare" puts your DNR order in the governments hands. After the checks and balances provided by the Constitution dissapear, your only value to the socialists will be your body parts --- which the will then own.
