Newt Gingrich to Chris Matthews: Actually, Aren’t You the One Being a Racist?

Political and Social Institution of CALLING people racist will be this country's biggest fault. Those who decry EVERYONE except themselves as being racists, ARE the racists. They live, breathe, lie and die for the cause of racism. Racism is the trump card. Being called a racist is the show stopper, it puts the accused immediately on defense, and stops the debate over the issues in play. The ONLY way to defuse the race card being played is to ignore it, and continue on subject. The SAD thing is that once you are accused, people believe the worst of you, and will always believe it. Its very hard to prove you are not something you are accused of. I for one believe playing the race card indicates strongly that the person so doing is a racist. Those who play the race card, can not argue effectively against their opponents position, so they attack the person, instead of the ideas being discussed.

Clearly, MSNBC's Chris Matthews cannot speak to conservatives without screaming about racism. On Monday, Matthews absolutely lost it during a discussion monologue with RNC Chair Reince Priebus about playing the race card. Katie posted on this earlier but here’s the clip again:
