Are We Headed for a Fight with China?

Why would China kill the golden goose? Duh. Think about it people.....they make a bunch of useless cheapstuff ship it to walmart (largest retailer in the nation), target et al and we buy it. If we went to war with them than they probably wouldn't get back the money we borrowed either. Duh. War with China would involve India (nuclear armed), China, Pakistan (nuclear armed), Russia (definitely nuclear armed), Japan (nuclear armed), Korea (nuclear armed (both)). Need I say more?

There are plenty of trading partners who have gone on to fight vicious and destructive wars. Our trade with China may make a hot war less likely, but it does not guarantee one won't happen. They can also fight us on the sly, asymmetrically and with unconventional means.... as they are already doing.

They figure a dominant Chinese superpower would be worth the price. They probably already figured that they're not getting all their money back anyway. And, what they do get back, will be in grotesquely inflated dollars.

It's a huge country with a growing economy, an expanding military and ongoing disputes with several neighbors. Nationalist sentiment has grown. China is a rising power, and history indicates that rising powers often assert themselves in ways that lead to bloodshed.

If you demand immediate evidence, look only to the South China Sea, where the Chinese are locked in an ominous...
