"Rampant homophobic bigotry which plagues America like a cancer today.?" No, Robert, you have it all wrong. People are practicing their faith, their faith in the eternal Word of God. The United States is still a free country. Freedom comes from the truth. "And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:32) IF THE WORD OF GOD IS NOT PREACHED IN THIS NATION, IT WILL SOON BECOME A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY AND POLICE STATE.

The "word of God" (whatever that is) is already preached in America, and noody is stopping this. But if we allow fanatical bigots masquerading as holy people to get power , America will become an evangelical Christian theocracy little better than the Islamic theocracies of the middle east . We will have Christian sharia , which is shariah lite . Not a pleasant thought .

The Rev. Louie Giglio, designated to give the benediction at this year’s presidential inauguration, has withdrawn, under apparent pressure, after the surfacing of remarks he made, some 25 years ago, about the sinfulness of homosexuality.

Note that the pastor of the evangelical Passion City Church in Atlanta has been pushed off the stage not because of a deed, but because of words he said -- words expressing a widely held Christian belief that homosexuality is a sin.

Let’s recall that freedom of religion appears in the First Amendment of our constitution, alongside the protection of freedom of speech.

So what kind...
