There is no substitute for common sense and procedures in place that have worked for centuries. However, something has happened that has replaced common sense. It is called liberalism. Our leaders have seen fit to use the military as an "experimental organ" of the body of government just to see how it plays out. Sort of like injecting a lab rat with certain substances to see how it responds. Liberalism attempts to replace morality, not guided by a sense of right and wrong, but guided by a sense of its own perspective of fairness. It fails, then it is necessary to pick up the pieces. At great costs.

Thanks, Cardinal. Your comment brought so much laughter that it caused tears! I am so glad I was sitting down because I actually got dizzy. Thanks again!
Any academic discipline that has defined scientific parameters and requires thinking, analysis and contains rules to assist one at arriving at accurate answers; probably does not have too many liberal professors in it. Math, science, engineering and physics?
Does the math dept. have lots of liberals? I really do not think so. Math requires one to follow a set of rules.
Stop the hate! Stop hating God and His teachings! Stop the Hate! Stop hating those who believe and practice the Word of God! Stop the hate! Stop hating those who believe that marriage is between a man and a woman! Stop the hate! Stop hating those who have a different opinion than yours!
It is basically an anti-Christian attitude that declares "you have no right to discuss your faith because of 'separation of Church and state,' we will not be going "back to a theocracy." Firstly, the US has never been a theocracy. It is absurd to even think that human national government is capable of doing such a thing when the main principle in this nation is the concept of freedom. We who believe the Word of God, believe that "the truth shall make you free." However, the enemies of divine truth fear divine truth. They like to discuss freedom. Freedom of speech is especially dear.......unless one quotes scripture. Is not scripture also word/speech? Is it not a persuasion, a faith, an idea, a philosophy? Is it not the truth? Yes to all 3, but it also makes a person responsible, thus uncomfortable. The Word of God is alive. It is powerful. It is spirit. And yes....it is attractive. Apparently, it is attractive enough to be on monuments all over Washington DC. George Washington stated that it is "impossible to govern a nation without the Word of God." Every student of US History needs to be taught this truth. Why? Because it is actual history. It is true.
Social justice? This has nothing to do with social justice. I do not believe in mistreating people. People should be allowed to live their lives however they want to live them. We all need to obey the laws of the land. Aside from laws, there are also moral codes given to us by God. What do we do about them? Just discard them because of a political agenda? No. And no, I am not a bigot, intolerant or a hater. I am a person who believes in the divinely inspired Word of God. I have been taught to love all people. Does this mean I need to agree with everything a person does?
I disagree with you JK because the sexuality of an indiviual is the business of nobody but the individual with whom that person has intimate relations and God. God has already stated in His Word how He views homosexuality. Regarding "content of character".............the GLBT lifestyle is dishonorable. Marriage is honorable. The push we are witnessing in our society is to make "gayness' honorable. This is where the conflict exists. All persons should be respected. But not all lifestyles should automatically be admired. Is not "content of character" exemplified by actions? Well....some choices will not be deemed acceptable by many. Is this so wrong? Is not this what liberty is about, libertarian?
Crystal, you hit it out of the park! Shame on Sports Illustrated for having the "non-news" on the front cover. God's people are the "light of the world," and they will continue to stand up for what the eternal Word teaches.
Just a guy using a whole bunch of rhetoric to justify what he did. Instead of defending what he did, he should ask God to forgive him and leave it at that. We all make mistakes, but the use of silver-tongued oratory does not straighten things out. A choice was made. A life was ended, and being cavalier about it is an inferior choice compared to humility and contrition.
The greatest soldier that ever lived loved the Word of God. The record shows "he has slain his tens of thousands." He wrote: "Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." A blind soldier does not fare very well. His name? David.
