I enjoy and appreciate your support, as I do Paul Ryan's. As far as I am concerned, Western Civilization has been, at minimum less harmed by its dominant religion than any other civilization in history. Christianity has largely been a force for good in the modern era, but not always. Remember that as many churches SUPPORTED slavery on theological grounds as opposed it. Unchecked, untethered faith is carries at least as much destructive potential as communism; after all, communism is itself an unchecked and untethered secular faith-based religion.

Increasingly, priests and pastors are preaching that socialism (in the name of “social justice”) is Christ-like. In truth, capitalism, not socialism, reflects Christian values. I think Christians would be less likely to embrace socialism if they understood that the economic philosophy of Ayn Rand is compatible with Christianity.
