In politics people say this and that; their actions are what matter; the results, and so far the Repubs in Congeress have been doing a good job keeping the Dems form taxing the working stiffs. Whether they can prevent the Dems from allowing the Bush tax cuts to expire is another story; it would be a Christmas Miracle if they could, because the Bush tax cuts gave the lowest tax brackets the best cuts, which they can't afford to lose in this economy, and with the price of gas too damn high for too damn long.

Take my soul, OBAMA. Take my soul. As if he had to deal with the creep at all. Everyone knew what OBAMA was up to, except Boehner. Now I believe Boehner is even a bigger creep. His only real concern being the destruction of Conservatives.

UPDATE: Senator Harry Reid appeared on the floor of the Senate this evening announcing that there would be no vote tonight. He said that they will reconvene Monday morning at 11am. “There’s still significant distance between the two sides, but negotiations continue,” Reid said. “There’s still time left to reach an agreement, and we intend to continue negotiations.” With only one day left of the year, it is looking like a very slim chance the two sides can come together to reach a fiscal cliff deal.

UPDATE: Republicans have taken the CPI off the table in an effort to help negotiations....
