Merry Christmas: This Tax Increase is for You, America

Ransom, I have an idea. We will exchange the REPEAL of OBAMACARE for Raising taxes on the Rich. Except the taxes collected from the rich will not go to the government at all. They will go into a charity fund. And this fund will be used to buy health insurance for all of the truly destitute. This fund will be available for viewing on line at all times. The health insurance policy and company will be chosen by the destitute people. No government interference. The only criteria being that they are a licensed insurance company. There you have it in a nutshell. The solution to one of our major problems.

I don't think you understand Joycey. You guys are not in any position to dictate terms for anything.

Well he's got a mandate and the bully pulpit. Just wait and see. I'm afraid there is going to be no more Mr. Nice Guy.

...Mandate?

...Mr. Nice Guy?

Sorry Doc, ... I didn't mean to confuse you. i was talking about "Obama" who's narrow election win could hardly be construed as a "mandate" with any degree of intellectual honesty, and who has been the most divisive and obstructive US president since I turned old enough to vote in 1967.

I do share your fear, however, that the damage he has planned for individual freedoms and liberties will surprise (and perhaps even awaken) his most sycophantic supporters.

Mandate? Wouldn't call winning by less than he did the first time a mandate.....

Taxes for EVERYONE will go up..then we'll see who is mr nice guy..beahahahahah!

Particularly when they are the "solution" to a different problem than that to which they are applied.

The first step in really solving any problem is determining what the actual problem is. Once the true problem is defined the real solution is usually obvious. Unfortunately, the government usually omits the defining of the problem.
Torr Wrote: Dec 01, 2012 9:32 PM
I agree Kibitzer.

The government is usually too busy trying to find solutions to the "symptom(s)" that they never determine the problem. ...What is worse is that the government solution to ANY symptom is to spend more money.

I say repeal Obamacare and go back to pre-bush tax cuts for EVERYONE... I mean everyone knows that these tax cuts were only for the rich.....therefore no one will be hurt by them except the rich anyway. Repeal Obamacare because that will be another tax cut for everyone especially the middle class who will have to pay for it.

".. I mean everyone knows that these tax cuts were only for the rich.....therefore no one will be hurt by them except the rich anyway. "

The painful part of reading your sarcasm, BK, is that a majority of Obama voters actually believe the statement to be true, ...and if they should let the current tax rates revert back to the pre-01 and 03 rate changes, the same Obama sycophants will RAIL against the GOP because their taxes jumped through the roof.

In a war of propaganda, the propagandist that own's the media will always win. (...Or in the case of CBS, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, PBS and NBC, the propagandist that has the undying support of the media...)

I did not think about getting more. You are a shrewd dealer.

Let’s cut right to the end of the story: Ordinary people have already tumbled off the precipice.

There will be no dramatic rescue at the height of the tension, with crashing, ominous music turning to a sunshine ditty, a government handout straining to reach you, to save you from tumbling over the lip of the cliff.

Instead the government is going to intentionally bump into you, making it look like an accident, head turned away, mumbling an apology, much like a pick-pocket does in a crowd, with the object to lift your wallet.

So, yes; however much they...
