In response to:

The Consequences of Obama's Bungled Mideast Policy

I'm waiting for the UN to get their act together on the anti-blasphemy law that's been bouncing around for almost 10 years now. The libs here will be going nuts when insulting someone's religious beliefs will land them in jail on a hate crime charge. That will eliminate about half the posts they make here that are nothing more than tirades against religion.

I don't suppose I'll get any response to this honestly posed comment and question, but I can't help noticing that the closest thing our American system of laws has to the kind of Prohibitions against free speech that so many Muslims want the U.S. government to impose on that stupid movie is the fact that displays of the Nazi Swastika can be legally prosecuted as Hate Speech, at least under some circumstances. Right?

I wonder if there is *any* kind of accomodation we can make for the Islamic faith that will take us no further in the opposite direction from Free Speech than we've already gone via the Swastika hate-speech laws?

OK. All the twits start acting that way.

FlamingLibtard do you honestly believe apologizing for our Constitution and its freedoms of expression is appropriate of this administration? Do you honestly tell me that if Bush had shown such appallingly feckless behavior of saying to the murder of our Ambassador, "Gee it's been a tough week but on my way to Vegas, baby!" you'd be defending him?

And I believe the ACLU established in court that Swastika-carrying Nazis could march in Skokie so you are simply lying about the swastika being prosecuted under the law in the USA as hate speech as opposed to misguided and totally illegal fascistic college campus speech codes. But lies are the libtard fallback position. I know you libs want to make the Stars and Bars illegal, though.

And you would fail because, der, its UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

I don't think that displays of the Nazi insignia are prosecutable, unless you've spray-painted them on someone else's wall.

Gungy is almost right about the Swastika. I CAN be prosecuted as intimidation, but it depends on how it is used. If you spraypaint it on a synagogue door, you might be in trouble, just wearing or displaying it...no. There is no need to make ANY allowances for muslim reaction to portrayls of thier relgious figures. None. That is a choice we have made in this country and we are sticking by it. That said, GUngy is also dead wrong in his characterization of what happened.

That was exactly what Obuma did on 9/11/12. It was pathetic and his politicking on that day was a stain on the Presidency. The pusillanamous apologies are undeniable. As Algore would say the debate is over, though I'm not the fascist he is and will only assert virtually over. Democrat/media narratives about the stupid video get more ridiculous each passing day. And his Admn is even making our troops undergo muslim sensitivity training.

Now if you want to argue that Il Duce will still win and keep the Senate despite all this, that's up for argument. Not sure I'd put a lot of money on it either way. :(

But those laws won't apply to left-libs denigrating Christianity.

Laws don't apply to left-libs under any circumstances -- just look at Sebelius campaigning on the taxpayer dime and not even getting a reprimand for it.

In Libya, U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three colleagues were murdered Tuesday. Earlier that day, protesters in Egypt stormed the U.S. embassy and tore down the American flag.

It was "the day the roof fell in," proclaimed blogger and historian Walter Russell Mead. Barack Obama's "efforts to reconcile the U.S. and moderate Islamism -- in part by distancing the U.S. from Israel -- have angered Israel without reducing Islamist bitterness against the United States."

In other words, his Middle East policies are in shambles. His assumption that a president "who doesn't look like other presidents" would...
