Republicans do NOT control the Congress. Harry Reid and the Democrats control the Senate and the House of Rep's cannot pass anything unilaterally so your assertion that the Republicans are the ones spending us into oblivion is false.

Where have you been for the past four years, Chris. There has been no budget passed, only continuing resolutions. If/when the Democrats take over the House again, then we will see a budget, the likes of which will drive many good Americans to flee this once proud nation.

The house originates bills that spend money. They need to quit passing such huge out of balance budgets. They've given budgets to the dems in the senate for the last 4 or 5 years and they never got passed anyway. The dems keep spending regardless of passing a budget. How do you intend to stop them from their illegal spending?

Here is the "Black Friday" question of the day from Martin Lewis at the Telegraph: Is it time to ban Christmas presents?

Is it time to ban Christmas presents? Across the country people are growling at the enforced obligation to waste money on that they can't afford, for people who won't use it. Festive gift-giving has lost its point, risks doing more harm than good, misteaches our children about values and kills the joy of anticipation...
