Elections can be won or lost on a single vote, so eliminating any amount of voter fraud helps no matter how small the percentage is.

Clever lighting can have a similar effect to lightening his skin in Photoshop and is easier to do. I expect they are lighting him differently now that he is running for re-election than they did in the past to appeal to the white voters who voted for him in 2008 and are now suffering buyers remorse.

Obama got 98% of the black vote in 2008. Enough said.

Exactly. If they didn't have the cart, they'd be walking and burning off calories. Giving them a cart to ride around on only makes them fatter. I wonder how they manage to make it home because the heavier the load, the faster the batteries drain. I wonder how many of them have gotten stuck halfway home with a dead battery in the middle of the road because it didn't have enough energy to get them everywhere they wanted to go and home again.

Or the one who sued the airline for making him pay for a second seat to hold his enormous bulk.

I can see it now. 7-Eleven will have to eliminate most of their sizes of the Big Gulp and Slurpee, which are two of their biggest customer draws, which in turn will reduce their sales of other items as well. I think Bloomberg is crazy if he thinks he can take on 7-Eleven and win. 7-Eleven globally has a bigger economy than most of the countries on Earth. They can tie Bloomberg up in court until the city treasury is bankrupt.

They'll be moving to regulate even more aspects of your life if they are allowed to pay for all of our healthcare. Do you ride a motorcycle? You won't be, it's too dangerous. You might get hit by a car or fall off and hurt yourself resulting in a hospital visit. Do you climb mountains? Same thing. Parachuting? Skiing? Snowboarding? Bungee jumping? Skating (ice or roller)? Football, baseball, basketball, hockey? Bicycle riding? Even having sex with the person of your choosing. Anything you do now where there's a chance of you getting sick or injured resulting in your accessing healthcare will be heavily regulated or banned, and that's pretty much everything you do from the time you wake up until the time you go to sleep.

Exactly true. If people can't get the calories they crave from soda, they'll get them from something else. A calorie is a calorie whether it comes from soda or broccoli. If you calories out is less than your calories in then you can get fat on fresh vegetables just as easily as junk food.

Ummm...the government took care of that "problem" when they passed Obamacare with it's provisions that nobody could be denied health insurance for any reason and couldn't be priced out of the market for being a high risk, passing the true cost of covering them on to the rest of us. Aren't you glad the government is "looking out for us"?

Don't worry. This ban will never stand up in court. Restaurant owners and snack food manufacturers and retailers will fight the city on this. The stakes are too high for them not too. Their businesses will be killed if this ban is allowed to stand and spreads to other cities and towns across the country. If people want to be fat, then what business is it of the governments to tell them 'no'?
