From "Independence Day Parades and Barbarism" by Laurie Higgins at illinoisfamily.org: "Our Founders did not conceive of equality as a principle that has any relevance to conditions constituted by sexual feelings and volitional sexual acts. Equality is not a principle that robs individuals or society of the right to discriminate between right and wrong behaviors. Equality is not a principle that demands citizens treat all beliefs and all actions as equivalent. And equality is not a principle that demands that conditions that have no behavioral implications - like race - be treated as ontologically and morally equivalent to conditions that are constituted by sexual feelings and sexual acts - like homosexuality.

modernmover, you are wrong! IUDs MAY, repeat, MAY (not "will" as you said) prevent implantation of a fertilized egg. Apparently you can't understand the plain english of my post including an authoritative source on the subject (WebMD). I didn't see the four listed in the Supreme Court decision (Ginsburg specifically mentioned IUDs in her opinion), but I got this from Wikipedia, which, unless you have solid evidence otherwise, proves you wrong about IUDs not being on the list of contraceptives to which Hobby Lobby objects: "Specific contraceptives contested by plaintiffs: The Green and Hahn families believe that life begins at conception which they equate to fertilization, and object to their closely-held for-profit corporations providing health insurance coverage to their female employees of four FDA-approved contraceptives that the Green and Hahn families believe may prevent implantation of a fertilized egg (many scientists disagree), which the Green and Hahn families believe constitute an abortion.[12][13][14][15] Emergency contraceptive pills (sometimes inaccurately called "morning after" pills) Plan B (levonorgestrel) and its generic equivalents ella (ulipristal acetate) Intrauterine devices (IUDs) ParaGard (copper IUD) Mirena and Skyla (levonorgestrel-releasing IUDs)"
BTW Darby, I think that you believe I agree with Libby. I do not. I agree with the Supreme Court and Hobby Lobby. I just believe in facts, unlike libby.
No Darby, you don't know what you are talking about. Please read from WebMD website where it says "PREVENTS FERTILIZATION" and "kills sperm"!; the part where it says that a fertilized egg cannot attach to the uterine wall is what happens when the device fails: "Both types of IUD PREVENT FERTILIZATION (emphasis added) of the egg by damaging or killing sperm. The IUD also affects the uterine lining (where a fertilized egg would implant and grow). Hormonal IUD. This IUD PREVENTS FERTILIZATION (emphasis added) by damaging or killing sperm and making the mucus in the cervix thick and sticky, so sperm can't get through to the uterus. It also keeps the lining of the uterus (endometrium) from growing very thick.1 This makes the lining a poor place for a fertilized egg to implant and grow. The hormones in this IUD also reduce menstrual bleeding and cramping. Copper IUD. Copper is toxic to sperm. It makes the uterus and fallopian tubes produce fluid that kills sperm. This fluid contains white blood cells, copper ions, enzymes"
IUDs are designed and usually function for the purpose of contraception. However, there is a five to ten percent failure rate in which the egg is fertilized and the IUD becomes an abortifacient. That is why IUDs are considered as abortifacients being restricted for the purpose of this Supreme Court case.
Libby, FYI, IUDs have a failure rate of about five to ten percent. In those cases, the egg is fertilized and is then terminated by the IUD. That's why IUDs are considered as abortifacients in this Supreme Court case!

As long as it's for Darth Vader Ginsburg, I could care less! It's just one morally and intellectually corrupt jurist for another.
