Economists can argue that there is "no free lunch" but POLITICIANS can hand out 'FREE LUNCHS' because they pass the bills on to some other group. Politicians know that if they can provide enough voters a "FREE LUNCH" (medicare, social security, medicaid) they can guarentee re-election power. Argue economics with 'FREE LUNCHERS" and you are just wasting your breath they want it, they get it, and they will always vote for the promisers of FREE LUNCH.

Liberals see Constitutional limitations as "The Problem". A one vote forever conversion like the Brits did to a social welfare state is exactly what they would like and the problem is that the Constitution is in the way. Kerry keeps his wife's money in tax free muni bonds.....HYPOCRITE. Gates put his billions into a tax shelter CHARITABLE FOUNDATION that his family will control and use FOREVER....HYPOCRITE. Keep the list going it never ends......

Correct The Great Depression created generations of committed democrats. So why would the Democrats want anything except an economic disaster.
