At another horrible column...
To put what Polanski did to a 13 year old girl in the same column as Letterman's consensual sex with adult women and Clinton's sexual misconduct to criticize liberal's reactions to all is (almost)as bad as calling what Polanski did "rape-rape."
I have no problem with Polanski bring brought back to CA and imprisoned now because if justice was done in 1977 he would still be in jail in 2009 and beyond.

The Letter Joe Wilson Should Write

As did every in the HOR who voted not to rebuke Mr. Wilson. It is not what he said it is where he said it. His outburst broke the rules and long standing traditions of the Senate. I was entirely and complete inappropriate, out of order and insult to his fellow Congressmen. Thus he not only owed an apology to not only the president but to the congress.

There is a time to criticize the president. It can even be done during his speech(note the disapproving mummer right before Wilson's shout.)
Mr. Eldar's argument in fact works against Mr. Wilson. President Bush's most vocal critics in the Congress at least showed the man and the office the respect of not interrupting him during his addresses to them.
