GOP Whistling Past the End of America

"From the hysteria, you wouldn't know Walker's reforms have nothing to do with government employees' salaries." --Ann Coulter Ann, I love ya, but that's not factually correct. Walker's reforms also included limits on teacher salary raises to be limited to cost of living increases. So yes, unions can still technically "bargain" for salary increases -- it's just that those increase will be between 0 and the cost of inflation.
Until Greece begins selling off its vacation islands to settle its unpaid debts, I'm not going to feel any sympathy for them.

Big Themes from Last Night's Primaries

Don't be so pessimistic. Yeah, the unions will go out, but that'll just make it all the better when they lose as they'll have less funds to throw into a general election. They threw a ton of $$$ into the Prosser race and he still won.
The Obama machine is throwing a thousand political messages against the wall and hoping that one of them will stick. So far, none of them have. They're desperately trying to find something to frame this campaign around other than the President's record. This latest one is so lame, it's laughable.
The pamphlet says the word "pray" again and again. Nowhere, however, does the pamphlet mention God. I don't think that's an accident.

Paul Ryan Staying Quiet on VP Talk

The problem with Ryan as veep is that the job is a lot less important than his current one.
Clinton was in a class of his own when it came to spin. Bill Clinton would have spun it as a victory. He would have described the Supreme Court's decision as a technical disagreement over a small, unimportant funding mechanism piece of the bill. Then he would have claimed that he never got any complaints about that small, funding mechanism piece from the GOP during the debate. It would have been the fault of the GOP for not objecting.
Translation: the people love what we've done and if you undo that, the people are going to rise up and revolt in a way that you've never seen. Blah, blah, blah. Whenever liberals don't get their way, their marxist beliefs come to the surface with nonsensical comments about how people are going to get angry and punish the evil GOP.
This is a classic case of anger making you stupid. Liberals are PO'd that after all that after everything through to get this passed that it would be killed. If you want to see just how obnoxious liberals are when they come completely unhinged just check out their behavior in Wisconsin. They dress like zombies and interrupt award ceremonies for special olympians. They tell local business owners "put up our signs in your window us or we'll boycott you". They physically harass and attack state representatives (which liberal county attorneys will then ignore). They destroy public property. Liberals will only get more angry when this is overturned. Expect the stupidity to get even greater.

The Art of Bipartisanship Is Not Dead

In 2006, Dole - said that his 2 greatest accomplishments were 'saving Social Security' (his words, not mine) and creating the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) - responded that he "hadn't read the GOP platform" when asked about the pro-life positions in the GOP convention's platform
