I would love to have a simple, limited speed, limited range electric car as the fourth car in our rather large family, since we already have a large minivan, a compact wagon, and a mid size sedan. Unfortunately, my only choices are (slightly) gussied up golf carts or Leaf/Tesla type of vehicles that cost a fortune because they use all kinds of expensive technical tricks to be able to almost keep up with what a basic gasoline car can do.

If there was any doubt from skeptics about the complicity of the Obama administration in creating and directing the “new” General Motors –a.k.a Government Motors- the latest ballyhoo regarding sales figures and the Chevy Volt should convince even the doubters.
