Why Capitalism Glorifies God

Free markets work for a moral people. However, once people stop being moral...well, ask deToqueville. Unfortunately, we no longer are teaching our children to be moral. Can we expect immoral people to responsibly handle the freedoms inherent in capitalism, free markets and democratic republics. I'm not so sure...Slavery (i.e. socialism or worse) is the result of immorality and irresponsibility.
Tough Issue.

Are the Jews the Chosen People?

Marx and Hegel, Frued all declared progressivism to be the anti-thesis (opposite) of Christianity. When Christianity labeled them as sin it was only in direct agreement with those powerful philosophers own declarations. Neitzche's superman mockingly overthrew the "weak" believer on the high wire, "killing" God. These philosophers boldly, mockingly demonized themselves. It may be the one place that conservative thinkers actually agreed with their philosophies. Nevertheless, the progressive philosophers, rejecting the idea of sin, declared themselves "beyond sin". Let's lay credit at the right door.

Are the Jews the Chosen People?

Jews are chosen. The blessing God gives them sets them up to either be loved or hated. if they are righteous, they will be loved and blessed. If they reject God and morality, hence becoming less righteous, they will find themselves hated. Either way, their place at the head of the nations is God's gift to them. To whom much is given much is required. I pray that they will step up to their destiny and their God and not run away from those. A firm belief in God is the only thing that can bring the most powerful into a place of humble submission to rule of law. The Jews will always be powerful. I pray that they will also choose humility under a God of justice.
Freedom of religion is something that fundamentalist Christians came to peace with over 200 years ago. The question that remains is not whether "liberal democracy" will accept Islam, but whether Islam (particularly the fundamentalist kind) will accept liberal democracy. Moderate Muslims seem to be able to do so. Again, both moderate and fundamentalist Christians have done so. Will fundamentalist Islam? To date they simply have not. I hope they will. Nevertheless, I'm not naive...if they don't we must be prepared to require their loyalty to "liberal democracy" or else require that they leave. We must not lose our "liberal democratic" soul to uninformed tolerance dogmatism.

Dude Whines Like a Liberal

Is there anyone else that is shocked that the University is willing to admit that there are differences between men and women in the first place. Haven't they spent years trying to prove that there are NO inherent differences between men and women? Now, they are going to spend tax payer money to teach a man to speak differently like a woman? The internal consistency is mud!!

The Eternal Flame of Muslim Outrage

Two key perspectives are relevant. One, Muslims have a reputation (appropos or not) for not being truthful (due to Mohammed's Quranic encouragement in the context of war). Therefore, a certain paranoia has developed around both Muslims and those "warm" towards them due to exasperated fear at how to get to the truth. Second, liberal Christianity, which Obama has chosen, is decidedly agnostic about which "path" is the right one. Liberal Christians basically claim they're all good. What really matters to the liberal Christian is not Christ over Allah or Buddha but rather the golden rule over greed and oppression. Therefore, both Obama's choice of Christian church combined with warmth toward Islam/descent from a Muslim creates a...
