No less astonishing, and I had to go and here it again to make sure I heard the president correctly on the Hugh Hewitt show, was the President making a distinction between "forcible" rape and "non-forcible" rape...? Indeed, rape is rape, and not rape is not rape, otherwise the term rape is nonsensical. My follow up question would have been immediate, "Mr. President, could you define rape for us, and while you're at it, non-forcible rape. Thank you." The indispensable predicate of rape is force. All other sexual relations are something else: good, bad, or ugly. I find the President's remarks nearly as cogent as Congressman Aiken's.
