Because republicans are big meanies who make you feel guilty when you have sex with anything and everything that moves.

Marriage Still Matters to Millennials

I'm a millennial and I'm for true marriage. People can do what they want, but don't demand the state subsidize it with marital benefits and tax breaks.
I've never really understood those people who change their mind about whether gay sex is good or bad based on whether they know someone who likes that stuff. There are plenty of nice people who enjoy gay sex, just like there are nice people who enjoy blaspheming or worshiping some other god. Doesn't change whether doing so is wrong and whether society should be encouraging such behavior through marital subsidies. A free society doesn't oppress people with differing views, but a good society only actively encourages good behavior. Not all behavior is "equal."
Personally, I had never heard of Sanford until this article started trumpeting his infidelities. Take a lesson from Democrats people. Never attack your own, particularly when its a done deal. Otherwise you risk another Akin situation.
Chris Matthews is a disgusting troll.

Republicans Need To Grow Up About Taxes

Why is it that republicans feel compelled to "be reasonable" and criticize their own? When was the last time you heard of a leftist columnist criticizing the Democrats for anything other than not being leftist enough? If we want to beat the Democrats we need unity, even if you don't fully agree with any particular position.

This is what happens when people surrender the fight against immorality. If you think the liberals will just live and let live, you need only see what they are doing already. They will not tolerate private citizens and entities that oppose their perversion.

Marriage is What it is

Great article Mr. Barber. Keep up the good fight. Surrender means the death of our nation in this fight.
I'd also point out the example of Catholic orphanages being chased out of Massachusetts for not placing kids with homosexual couples. Gay marriage is the defining battle in the ongoing war against religion in this country. Christians will either be forced to forsake their scriptures and embrace gay sex (thus revealing their faith to be hollow), or they will be labeled as "bigots" and destroyed. Heck, to even voice a contrary opinion will get you destroyed (see Chik-fil-A denied the ability to open a restaurant in Chicago).

Winning After Losing on Gay Marriage

People used the same specious argument that "hey look it didn't have an effect there" to justify no fault divorce. And look what it has done to our country. Most babies are now born out of wedlock because republicans surrendered the issue. A better argument however, is to point out that gay marriage is not "live and let live." We already have that. Gays can get married in any state under the 1st amendment. What they are demanding are the state marital subsidies. Money will come out of YOUR pocket to promote gay sex. Criminals will get acquitted by "marrying" their partners in crime and using the spousal testimony privilege. And worst of all Christianity will be demonized and undermined by the state.

Winning After Losing on Gay Marriage

When we start winning elections again, the polls will shift back in our favor. And it also helps if you get your story straight. Same sex marriage does destroy the institution of marriage. But what were you expecting to happen? Everyone's ring to suddenly explode? No, it destroys marriage by turning it from a holy sacrament into something corrupted. No longer will conservatives (or libs who are generally anti-marriage) fight to increase incentives for people to get married. In fact, social conservatives will likely rather see all the current marital benefits repealed so that their tax dollars don't go toward subsidizing evil. Within 50 years, if gay marriage is legalized everywhere, marriage will be a shadow of what it formerly was.
