Great Article Maggie, though I would point out that Romney DID rather forcefully come out against gay marriage following Obama's shameful flip flop. I was disappointed by Shepard Smith and others at Fox News. Though I understand where they are coming from. If they opposed gay marriage people would vandalize their property and try to destroy them in any way possible. It is sick.
Of course 52% say it should be legal in "some" circumstances. You could probably get the same proportion to admit that cannibalism should be legal in "some" circumstances. (ie. when people are starving on a life raft in the middle of the ocean) A ban on abortion, like a ban on cannibalism, doesn't mean the law cannot be flexible in those rare fringe cases where you are balancing one life vs. another (or vs. both dying).
A glimmer of light in otherwise dark times.

Apparently, anyone who thinks homosexuality is wrong is a "homophobe" in his book. Well then count me a homophobe, along with being an incestophobe, a beastialityphobe, a murderphobe, a theftphobe... Anyone else find it funny that 50 years ago homosexuality was (rightly) considered a mental disorder, while these days that view is scorned (by libs) in favor of the notion that opposing homosexuality is a mental disorder (a phobia)?

That's just wrong James. No one is born gay. Twins studies prove that. If people were born gay then 100% of identical twins of gay people should be gay themselves. They aren't even close. Meanwhile studies show that 38 to 50% of kids raised by gays and lesbians become gay themselves. Pretty damning proof to anyone who opens their eyes.

GREAT ARTICLE! This needs to be read by more people. Your points are all spot on. I worry for the future of this country and the world if we don't reverse this trend. Homosexuality IS a learned activity and when a kid learned to be gay not only is their life destroyed, but so is their family. They will be the last in their line.
Gee, that does make me feel pretty depressed about the future. One wonder why Hispanics, Asians, and Blacks are so much in the pocket of the Democrats. Why should Blacks and Hispanics be for Democrats when Republicans are more in line with their moral values? Why should Asians be for Democrats who actively discriminate against them for being too successful (from academia to higher taxes)? It can't simply be that Dems offer to buy them more stuff, because Whites also face such temptation. No, the secret underlying reason we are losing minorities is because we have surrendered the public schools to Dems, who use them as indoctrination camps. Kids are taught that republicans hate minorities and Christianity/religion is bad.

Gay Marriage and All That

Good article, but note that gay marriage is not a "libertarian" stance. There's nothing libertarian about government endorsing and subsidizing homosexual lifestyles (and forcing others to do so like insurance cos) through marriage benefits. No one cares if sodomites have a little ceremony and call themselves married (that's free speech). What people do care about is when the strong arm of the state gets involved to enforce satanist morality on the nation.
The fact that 1 in 4 Americans are less likely to vote for Obama now is pretty impressive considering that half weren't voting for him anyway. He's going down because of this outrage and the polls are just starting to show that.
