Good article. We can't change the Islamic world, we can't even influence it by much but what little influence we have requires a presence, the intelligence it provides and the contacts that may prove useful. The presence need not be large but it needs to be the right sort of professionals. Secondly while we can't change the Islamic world we can keep them from flooding into our country. We can also try to drive the world price of oil down by producing our own and working with other non Islamic powers to get prices down by producing more.
