Reagan signed first Amnesty, did he get the hispanic vote? No. McCain supported it, he didn't get their support either. What Republicans should do is forget about pleasing either hispanics or anti hispanics. Design an immigration reform that makes sense for America and then sell it. Same is true of all issues. You wont win over the media or liberals with any spin, or posture, but sound policies clearly articulated work for the folks who are well informed. Of course they must have a hispanic outreach, but not to pretend to be democrat light, but to explain why freedom works for them. In fact it does as it has for all immigrants throughout our history.
