In response to:

Who Cares Jason Collins is Gay? Obama Shouldn’t.

It matters because being gay is still a stigma in society. Teenagers still contemplate committing suicide because of their sexuality. Collins spoke out to bring society towards the day when, to paraphrase MLK, a man will be judged on the content of his character, and not on his sexuality. I have no regard for Obama's domestic or foreign policies, but on this one particular instant, he was right. And I say that as a straight male and a right-libertarian.

I disagree with you JK because the sexuality of an indiviual is the business of nobody but the individual with whom that person has intimate relations and God. God has already stated in His Word how He views homosexuality. Regarding "content of character".............the GLBT lifestyle is dishonorable. Marriage is honorable. The push we are witnessing in our society is to make "gayness' honorable. This is where the conflict exists. All persons should be respected. But not all lifestyles should automatically be admired. Is not "content of character" exemplified by actions? Well....some choices will not be deemed acceptable by many. Is this so wrong? Is not this what liberty is about, libertarian?

But he said he's gay. He didn't say anything about living a particular lifestyle. He didn't mention any behavior at all, actually, not that he had a boyfriend, let some anything sexual. He just stated who is he. That is no different than stating the color of his skin.
