Every sitting senator or representative should be primaried in every race they enter. We need to get rid of all career politicians. If we can't get term limits passed, then we need to limit them at the ballot box.

A social program infers assistance for a disadvantaged group whereas Military service is service to the country and requires true faith and allegiance in return. I am not a combat veteran, but I am prior service, and there is a difference between welfare and remuneration. (no I don't claim veteran's benefits)

Krugman is a Keynesian and therefore a lock for the Nobel Prize, even though those economic models have been proven false countless times. There are a lot of veterans that are denied care by the bureaucracy of the VA. The very nature of the government breeds inefficiencies. Veterans would be better served with private options. Our Vets deserve the best care for the rest of their lives, no matter where that care takes place, Walter Reed or MD Anderson, we owe them. And when a Vet cannot get care because a functionary says that care is not covered, we as a nation have failed in our payment of a debt we owe to those that fight for our freedoms.
