The Problem With Santorum

Like or dislike her opinion...I have to love her writing! The last bit about screaming at the television is both hilarious and somewhat instructive. "DON'T AGREE...HITLER PROBABLY SAID IT!" Priceless.
Ah...you wake on a Tuesday morning, full of potential, head off to work to develop world class medical devices to cure patients and alleviate suffering...then read this. What a buzz kill! (Of course the scenarios are possible and the analysis of the impacts seems reasonable, but hey, let me get my morning coffee!)
Actually Algor is software for finite element analysis. It is not human...and if you put garbage in, you get garbage out. :)
They are kind of like humans, but without the civilizing force of both culture and religion.
Oh yes, and I am an economic conservative and social agnostic.
It appears that Antarctic ice sheets are increasing in thickness and that either temperatures have stabilized or we are starting to get a little cooler here on Earth. For the longest time I have been a skeptic..truly, and thus I am willing to wait until we have actual proof of a warming correlation, who believes that anthropomorphic CO2 is a "pimple on an elephant's butt" in the Earth's temperature. While I was not ready to accept a significant human contribution to global warming, I am not yet ready to cast aspersions on that concept just yet. More data will out.

Rising Black Social Pathology

How do we change the social landscape so that two parent families within all communities are the norm? We tend, in this age, to shy away from the cultural pressure of "shame." Perhaps shaming those who have children out of wedlock would discourage that apparent social pathology.
...hmmm, I was thinking Mitch Daniels. The thing is, he is likely to speak at the convention. If it is brokered, you may get a movement on the convention floor pushing to draft him. (I am a delegate from MN and this is my "dream scenario.")
First, I will never buy a Government Motors car and I think that subsidizing the volt is incredibly poor policy. That having been said, the fires to which Mr. Ransom refers occur DAYS after the catastrophic crash test. The effect of this would be a fire in a junk yard after the car has been moved from the accident scene. Also this has never happened in real life. The 5 star safety rating is accurate. Of course I see this same type of "zero defect no matter what the circumstances" mindset in many regulatory agencies. This whole dust-up is the equivalent to the warning sign on your hair dryer saying that you should not use it in the shower.

Is Anybody Serious?

There is a serious candidate running for congress in Minnesota. Chris Fields, a retired Marine Major is fighting against Keith Ellison, the co-chair of the progressive caucus. I ask you to give a quick look to his site at; www.chrisfieldsforcongress.com
