Promises and Riots

So what do we do? Throw out the current politicians only to replace them with other politicians?
This has nothing to do with incompetence. It has everything to do with asserting control over the general population, and they're doing so incrementally. That's how totalitarianism is introduced -- a little bit at a time. The people are going along with being either irradiated or patted down at airports. Now that they know we'll put up with that, they'll take additional steps. It's a shame, but indicative of where we're headed as a nation. Instead of registering our feelings through massive peaceful marches in every large city of the USA on every Saturday or Sunday afternoon, most Americans prefer to do nothing more than sit in front of their computers and blog or watch their TV sets and be fed BS by news readers (not real reporters)...

Isn't fascism where we're headed? If that's so bad, why do so few Americans seem to care one way or another?

Bloomberg Bust

Mayor Bloomberg seems to have just the right credentials to be President. Bush stepped up when Katrina hit and did a super job. Obama stepped up to help the people of the Gulf Coast during the BP spill and they seemed so grateful on the evening news A nd now Bloomberg did his darndest with a heavy snowfall. He seems at least as good as those guys. Let's give the man a chance to run the country. Maybe he'll make sure the middle class gets soup and bread once a day.

You're right. His father appointed former CEO of Merrill Lynch to his cabinet as Secretary of the Treasury. After that, Wall Street gained greater and greater influence over government decision-making. Thank goodness for that! Now we're the richest and most powerful nation on earth with the best health care system and the world's best-educated kids. I thank President Reagan and Wall Street for the prosperity most Americans are experiencing today. Too bad Michael didn't turn out right.

This kind of free speech is why I think the Internet needs to be controlled by the government, just like most other things in our lives. Who knows better than the government? Nobody else. They've got our best and brightest working for them 24/7.

If Al Gore invented the Internet while being a part of our government, I say it belongs to the government and they can regulate it if they want to. Anyway, there's a lot of criticism of the government on these websites and blogs. Maybe if the government controlled the Internet we'd have a more positive citizenry.
Yes, I too am hoping new politicians will set things right. Oh look, I see a tooth fairy.
If you saw it on Fox News, you know you can bet it's true.
