The changes to bankruptcy were made by republican state legislatures and started long before PRESIDENT OBAMA was sworn in. As if you suddenly care about poor people going bankrupt as a result of medical bills for the most part. Obama is trying to FIX that.

John, you are playing the game exacly like you were programmed to do...Pavlov trained his puppies to slobber whenever they received certain stimuli. It doesnt' matte what the letter behind the name of the individual is...R, or D...spinning to that argument immediately is nothing more than a detractor and driven by CHIDLISH emotionalism My guy or team vs your guy or team. BOTHS sides of that aisle have been INFECTED with marxists/socialists/progressives (pick your word there) and BOTH sides participate in the deconstruction of this nation. As long as people argue on the childish level you just spun, no one will ever be able to get to the real underlying issue...and put and end to it. If one is conditioned to yammer FOR socialism..

like a spoiled chick on a nest waiting on the momma bird to drop another worm in their mouth (social welfare or the perpetuation of same) then that to is the slobbering conditioning that was learned by Pavlovian experimentation.....If one wants SOCIALISM..then why doesn't that individual simply move to a socialist country? So this is really about "bringing about the downfall of this country FROM WITHIN" part and parcel taken from New Age American communist goals dating all the way back to the 1930s

And these people just like feudal lords of days gone by will take BY ANY MEANS as many assets (via taxes) as they can from their lowly subjects..and then try to convince them it is in their best interest.

I call BS. Republican state legislatures can't change federal bankruptcy laws. The article plainly speaks about federal bankruptcy courts.

More than that, what did the Democrats do the 40 years or better they controlled both houses of congress? So the question is just as valid then as it is now. Why are there still so many poor now? Maybe Johnson's great society had something to do with it?

Many Americans didn't bother to vote in the past presidential election, some out of apathy or a belief that the election would hardly affect them. They are in for a rude awakening now that Obama has won re-election. His Santa Claus false promises are unsustainable, so there are going to be few winners and a lot of losers as he redistributes wealth. Obama ran on a platform of making the rich “pay their fair share of taxes,” but raising taxes on the wealthy will only fund the federal government for eight days a year. In order to even partially...
