"The liberals aren't going to like it when we apply the same ruthlessness to them." It will never happen. For all of my political life, I have never seen the Right play the game with the same ferocity as the Left. As much as I would love to see MediaMatters audited and stripped of it's 501c3 status; it ain't gonna happen. What will happen, is as soon as the GOP takes back control, they'll immediately compromise. Remember after the 2000 election, when the GOP actually gave up the committee chairs because the Democrats howled and demanded "power-sharing"? (which, by the way, is how Barney Frank was able to protect Fannie Mae from regulation until it imploded. So, that worked out well.) Look at what they're doing already...Romney has told us that Bill's rape history is off the table - just when the Dems will push that phony "GOP war on women". We were told by the GOP elite that Benghazi, the IRS scandal, and ObamaCare are off the table, too. So what weapon, exactly, do we have left? Nothing. That's how the GOP elite wants it - tie both hands behind our backs, and pretend that we are better leftists than the Left. It's pathetic. Rule #1 of American politics: Republicans are incompetent, Democrats are dangerous.

I respectfully disagree. The Right is about individuals, the Left, groups. As such, the Right are basically loners while the Left are joiners. It's not hard to get the joiners organized. Now add in the IRS oppression. What we need is a way to organize without being organized. If we have an organization, we become a target for audit. What we need to do is unify behind purpose and principle, but keep the trappings of organization absent. That's where are power is; the Right can organize in a scattered way, which can leave us able to operate without obstruction.
Oh God help us, now they're speaking for Jesus. Isn't it funny how atheists are always trying to tell us what Jesus would do?

we're past the point of strategy. Anytime in the last decade, strategy would play an important place...but now, it's about STOPPING the spending. If we can't stop it, right now, even for a short time...then how will we ever?

I certainly understand Hunter's points about Cruz's acts of futility...but one thing keeps getting forgotten. We've simply reached a point where enough is enough. We are rapidly running out of options, running out of values to compromise, and running out of time to fix it. At some point a stand must be made; even if symbolic. If not now, when; if not here, where?
1) The documents we captured from Saddams' office showed he had active bio and chem programs, and had mothballed his nuke program in favor of buying off-the-shelf from NKorea. Not sure why that gives you comfort. 2) Saddam did send WMDs to Syria and to Lebannon. 3) When the Iraqis stood up, we did stand down. Then Obama abandoned them. 4) When the democrats took complete control over congress in 2007, Schumer blocked all american oil companies from bidding on iraqi oil fields. So the fields Saddam stole form Exxon were sold to the chinese, who we now buy our oil from. Only a Progressive calls that progress. Only an idiot blames Bush.
No, Romney would have simply completed the negotiations of the withdrawal, and left a small reaction force in Iraq to do with terror attacks. Iran wouldn't be able to use Iraq for overflights into Syria, Al-Queda would not have retaken fallujah, and literally tens of thousands would still be alive. That's it. Whoever was President, all they had to do was carry through. Obama couldn't be bothered; and he lost a war that was 99% won. He threw it away.
if by "sleeps around"... you infer that he has sex with people to be promoted... that would imply that he's any good, or in demand.
I'm tired of the Left's arguments. They will deliberately make an innocent man appear to be rejecting offers for his own security, when the opposite is clearly true. He asked many times that he would be able to keep his american security, and was immediately distrustful of the local security the State Dept forced him to accept. Seriously, what else will they lie about to wallpaper this over, so as not to ruin the Hillary coronation?
as much as I almost am encouraged by this... one wonders of he doesn't want the NRA to take responsibility simply because he wants to hold them ultimately responsible when they can't fix the problem, either.
Sure the level of leftist indoctrination that is in Common Core is very limited. But that's because it's new. It clearly opens up a whole Orwellian-model of a school system, and creates all kinds of new, exciting, propaganda opportunities. That's the real problem... not what it is, but what it can become. And I'm not willing to hand over the keys to our kids' minds to a bunch of marxists and "trust" that they won't abuse the power given to them. It's insanity.
