Love and hate are moraly neutral. God hates (divorce and sin for example). God loves (righteousness, cheerful givers). What matters is WHAT you hate and WHAT you love. Being a lover can be a bad thing. The love of money is the root of all evil.
Only in the mind of today's poorly educated liberal would "hater" be the ultimate insult.

Because you are the source of your ethics and God is the source of ours.

Freedom from God.
Our revolution drew it's freedom from God.
The French wanted to be free from God. The policies of the corrupt Catholic church at that time certainly pushed the people that way. But the issue there was still about individual liberty. The church wanted to tell people what scripture said. Rather than revolting against the Catholic church alone (like Luther) the French revolted against God, thus elevating man to god-like status. Left to his own devices man will always abuse power, hence Robsspierre, Napoleon etc.

That initially stung me a little because I am pretty vocal about how much damage is being done to our country by the progressives. Thinking a little bit deeper, I now believe that our country can only be saved by God miraculously changing the hearts of our fellow Americans through a right relatioonship with Jesus Christ. That is, if it is His will to save our country. If that is not His will, then the only thing that matters IS the hearts of those around us.

Either way, I am now convinced that...

Wars and rumors of wars as all of creation groans and longs to be made right again.
