DNC Plagued by Nazi References

You know who else compared their opponents to Nazis? The Nazis, that's who!
First, the truth is on our side, so we have an "unfair advantage" that lets us cooperate with honorable people on the other side -- and George McGovern is honorable and well-intentioned. And his "demogrant" idea is an (imperfect) version of Milton Friedman's "Negative Income Tax." And $1,000 in 1972 would be over $5,000 today, adjusted for inflation -- and adjusted for per capita GDP it would be $10,000 to $12,000. Personally, I favor a "demogrant" of about half that amount, plus a 25% flat tax or consumption (sales) tax.
I would settle for a Constitutional amendment -- or a judicial interpretation -- saying that Congressional offices are required to follow every regulation that anyone else has to follow. *That* would get rid of at least 75% of all regulations immediately, possibly over 90%.
