It is obvious that serious security mistakes have resulted from assigning higher priority to "Political Correctness" than the security and safety of our troops. General Casey's remarks make it crystal clear that the errant policy originates at the highest level. He has responsiblity for this and should suffer the consequences.
I have long been concerned that the military leadership has become increasingly political. Much of the leadership appears to lack the devotion to duty and sense of responsibility that existed when I was on active duty. This incident and General Casey's remarks add to my concern.
