Damaging Admissions

This all goes back to the saying that if you give the government the ability to provide all your needs, you give them the ability to take all you have. In my view, the education of children is the responsibility of the parents. I admit that a lot of that is based on the Bible but just look at what has happened since we turned educating our kids over to the government. Since we have turned that responsibility over to the government, the values and expectations of the parents matter very little if at all. You reap what you sow.

What the War on Cops Has Wrought

So you see no difference between the difference between the killing of the two cops in NY and the killing of someone by a cop in the line of duty? Really? You don't think the presence of a cop in the area ever prevents crimes since they are never around until after the crime has happened? Really? You really think "most laws" created by our representatives and enforces by our judicial system which includes the right to trial by a jury of peers are immoral and unconstitutional? Really? Thanks for letting me know just how "intelligent" a libertarian is.

Should Profiling Be Banned?

Sadly funny but I remember reading years ago about how the witness of a crime didn't mention the race of the person she saw commit the crime at first because she didn't want to be racist.
So your answer to the "monopoly" that many different cable companies have (ignoring the question that how can there be more than one with a "monopoly") is to give the federal government total control? Just where has that ever worked better than free enterprise? Also to be considered is why can't a cable company offer increased bandwidth and/or higher speed access at a higher price than "normal" service? Does anyone really want a grocery store to have to charge the same price for ground beef as for T-bone steak because "beef-neutrality" calls them both beef?

Oh Mama! Jesse the Baby Ventura

Problem 1, I was not "proven to the jury's satisfaction." Not all members of the jury agreed. As for Ventura being "defamed" by the book, the part of the book in question did nor mention Ventura's name and the event referenced in the book is apparently true according to witnesses and statements made by Ventura. Problem 2, the majority of the financial award (something like 1.3 million) has to be paid by the widow of a true American hero. I see a problem with both of those and I wonder why you don't.
Don't forget that none of the moving parts of these vehicles should use any product from "Big Oil." None of those politically incorrect lubricants now!
and that is a bad thing? If so, just what values can any organization have? or must a "good" organization not support any traditional or non-traditional values? What's that old statement, "if you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything."

Traditions, Time and Treasure

As a Dad with kids that are distant in varying degrees due to time, location, and life, I can tell you that you have no real idea how honored, blessed, and happy you make your Father feel. For him, myself and I am sure many other Dads you have my personal thanks.
What do you call a possibly a staged kiss between two men when they know they are on nation/world_wide television?
Care to explain why those two should be banned and others like say Obama, Holder, Clinton? Just wondering.
