Anyone find it odd to hear him so strongly support the EPA and it's increasing control of everything in our "environment' and lives while also condeming those that oppose such increasing government power for daring to have a picture taken with the Statue of Liberty in the background since they apparently oppose the concept of liberty.

Let's take a look at your statement "We don't know that the unborn are persons." While that is true we also don't know that the unborn are not persons. Now clearly an abortion results in the death of the unborn. Now apply the basic concept "innocent until proven guilty." Doesn't that apply when we can't be sure the unbord isn't a person. Granted the raped female has gone thru something a male can never really understan - but it is just possibe that there are 2 people to consider, the adult and the unborn child?

So you are saying that if the "child" (interesting word that) can't talk, it is not a person? Does that sentence have to be said in English before you will grant the "child" any rights to exist and be considered a "person?" As for "legitimate debate," ever cosider the words "innocent until proven guilty?" What evidence proves beyond any reasonable doubt that the "child," born or unborn is not a human being and can be legally executed - without even a single person to defend him/her?

I have to say that a "true Conservative" would not be supporting Rommey since he isn't one and only taks like one when it is convient. I feel sure that many Democrats are and will do all they can to see that the Republician Party selects another "moderate" to run and lose so badly in the next election also.

I think you have badly missed the point here. Any business is directly judged by customers. When a business offers better products at lower prices just how "evil" is it that the business grows .. even when the business grows into a (gasp) corporation (with public stockholders that share the profits!) Did you get the point made about the "unfair" practice of railroads to charge one company using tank cars less than others shipping oil in barrels? Does the term "economy of scale" mean anything to you? Notice that "corporations" make things at a price that people want or they go out of business. You mentioned the anti-trust laws.
