The only good outcome of any conflict has to include the non-existence of ALL gun-control Leftists. Otherwise, they'll never stop trying to destroy American society.
Excising a few of the worst provisions is worse than useless -- it's counterproductive. It's candy-coating the poison pill. You have to drive a stake through this thing's heart, not put it in handcuffs. Conservatives and Moderates are pathetic tools. The Right is the boy who'll tear the whole damned thing down.
Exactly. Murray Rothbard told the prototypical story of Leftist strategy. Hamilton and the Federalists wanted the federal govt to have the power to raise taxes on its' own. Under the Articles, the Feds had only the funds the States chose to provide, and this left the Feds without any power. The Federalists were willing to give on anything at the Constitutional Convention. The onnly thing they cared about was getting taxing power for the Federal govt. They got their taxes and the rest, as they say, is history. Today's left wants only to get socialized medicine established. They'll give on peripheral issues to save the program as a whole. As Americans, our only goal has to be repealing the whole mess, root and branch.

The Obama Culture Arrives

No such thing as a multi-cultural society. By definition one society has one accepted culture. That culture defines the society. One society also has one religion; one race; one language; and one history. These also define the society. Two cultures = two societies. The USA today hosts many different societies, and the point of that is that every society is in competition for dominance over all other societies. That's what affirmative action programs do -- they advantage non-white societies over white/American society members. Dominance is strictly a zero-sum game -- you win or you lose -- no ties. In affirmative action, you get the job/promotion or somebody else gets it. It is the reduction of American life to bare-bones race war.
since there's no restriction on religious speech. Thhis is all cr*p of course. The very Founders who ratified the Constitution and the Bil of Rights, had zero problems with State-established religions (that's what "Congress shall pass no law respecting an establishment of religion" actually means, for you public-school kids) and were fine with imprisoning anyone guilty of blasphemy against the Christian religion; hanging in many States.
All of leftism is simply a war on everything normal, to paraphrase some English writer of days gone by. The French Revolution famously destroyed churches everywhere (including Notre Dame de Paris) and declared some hooker to be "The Goddess of Reason", which they substituted for God. Thar revo worked out well, if you made guillotines. Marx was definitely anti-God, and in practice, of course, the Bolsheviks began demolishing or converting to secular use, every church in Russia even before they got around to starving milions of peasants to death proving that communal farming couldn't work. Want to bump the membership list of the ACLU up against those of CPUSA or any George Soros front group? Don't forget to thank God in your graduation speech
'Homosexual' itself is a PC-word. There are exactly two forms of reproduction: sexual and asexual. Sexual reproduction involves sexual intercourse ('sex' for short) -- male/female. If you want more exquisite detail, look up "attempted rape" in any law book. There was never any shortage of words designating pederasts -- poofter, fagg*t, the-love-that-dare-not-speak-its-name, etc. 'Homosexual' somehow seems to elevate buggery to some kind of linguistic parity with plain old sex. In their dreams....

Christmas in an Anti-Christian Age

I don't have time to read every coment. Did anybody remind Pat to mention that the very terms 'Anno Domini' and 'Before Christ' are being abolished from books and museum exhibits? And what, pray tell, would this censorship have to do with "science"? This is a direct attack on Western/European/Christian civilization itself, not some quarrel over dogma.

I would think one thing 'paleoconservatives' ought to agree on would be that, all things being equal, the right thing to do would be very close to what the Founding Fathers did. In 1787, blasphemy and sodomy were Common Law crimes, punishable by death. Without much in the way of historical evidence to guide them, they somehow understood that religious belief was the foundation of every society. And they were not slow to act to prevent any attack on their Christian religion. We practice toleration, and we are surrendering to the infidels. Infidels always prove to be bad -- you can look it up.
