Medical liability limits invited every hack and quack to rush to Texas.

Medical Costs have continued to rise in TX without a dent. The risks to patients have increased. And rural areas still have no doctors.

If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

Behave and tort law won't cost you anything. Misbehave and there should always be consequences.

We don't complain when a jury rightfully convicts and the criminal is locked up. Why should we complain when the same jury convicts an enterprise in a tort action?

I agree with Ken Conner completely and have made many similar comments respecting the BP diasaster illuminating the need for strong civil liabilities and punishment.

Captains of business and industry need laws to make them behave civily. They are human like the rest of us and subject to temptation and greed.

BP and Transocean are not going to be able to limit their liability. The Liability Limitations in the 1990 Oil Pollution Act do not apply for incidents caused by gross negligence or willful...
