I hesitate to enter a comment, because most of the comment sections that I read quickly degenerate into labeling and name calling. With that caveat, I dive in to the discussion. This is not one of Mr. Greenberg's clearest pieces. I had to read it carefully two or three times. First, he eulogizes a man who had been on the intellectual scene for a period of time. I thought the eulogy was done in a favorable light with much tribute given to the man and his magazine. The story of his mental problem and the end of his life was handled compassionately. At almost the end of the article, Mr. Greenberg chose to state that he disagreed with Mr. Friedlander's philosophy of pure reason, and he did so with harsh words. I cannot speak for Mr....

The verse is in the Old Testament, KJV, Isaish 1:18, "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD:..." Much of the wisdom of the ages is captured in the book that we call the Bible. The New Testament has more love, forgiveness, and redemption. Please see my comments on May 22nd.

I must have wasted the sixteen years that I spent in schools and colleges, because I cannot rationally understand these actions. I can only assume ulterior motives where certain groups are set up to fail. This in turn causes more dependency and more control by the federal government and minions such as Frank and Dodd.
