Think about it. 4 out of every 10 people are so poor they need some form of government assistance to get by? I am from a small town in rural Appalachia and I have seen the people "on the draw", as we put it. They might be dirty, uneducated, and/or lazy, but the majority have decent cars of trucks (they usually have an atv, as well). They have cell phones. They have some form of cable/satellite television service. What's even more disturbing is the number of people on the draw who are not dirty or uneducated, just lazy. They usually have all the luxuries mentioned above, only nicer versions. They can work, they just choose not to. The problem is in the oversight of who should be getting assistance. I'm all for a helping hand...
