Democrats and Estabishment Republicans are two heads of the same beast. Most Americans want to cut government spending until it comes down to their slice of the pie. Then they object when asked to pay for it. You can't have it both ways. When both Republicans and Democrats have the attitude of; I don't care as long as I get what's coming to me you're going to have a government that looks like the one we presently have.

The achilles heel of all Democracies, and that we are a Democratic Republic does not seem a remedy for our illness.
Taking Obama on, as if he cared for, and believed in American Exceptionalism, wanted Americans to prosper in a Capitalist economy, and really help small business and the middle class is working with a false premise. Check who advises him, mentors him and favors his policies. He should be called out by a Conservative candidate, and not treated like he had our interests at heart.
His latest EO was a raise in pay for Congress and governmental employees. That speaks volumes.

Um, soooo very true.
Though I disagree w/ the most Americans part. The dependency masses(ameriKans) have the Whole Pie.To them, it not about cutting their slice. Like I said. They own the whole Pie.Don't Touch Their Pie, muchless a slice.
The beginning of a new year is often a time to look forward and look back. The way the future looks, I prefer to look back -- and depend on my advanced age to spare me from having to deal with too much of the future.

If there are any awards to be given to anyone for what they did in 2012, one of those rewards should be for prophecy, if only because prophecies that turn out to be right are so rare.

With that in mind, my choice for the prediction of the year award goes to Bret Stephens of the Wall...
