And it is just happenstance that there was a Saxon goddess named Eostre whose festival was held during April and whose fertility symbols were rabbits and eggs???? I have no intention of denigrating the Sacrifice and Resurection of Jesus, but if you have to hide from the truth, you do nothing but suggest your faith is weak. and based on silly symbols.

Contrary to Catholic mythology THEY were not the first or the true church of Christianity. Catholicism is in fact the result of the death throes of the Roman Empire under Constantine. He saw that the followers of Christ were discrediting the Empire by discrediting the state approved religions of paganism. His response was to incorporate the various pagan faiths into a single Christian religion. Each of the Apostles and saints were given the aspects, purposes and symbology of one of the principal pagan gods or goddesses. The pagan holidays were "Christianified" and adopted into the Catholic calendar and wherever, and as much as possible, were combined with Christian events and dates.
His plan succeeded so well that it has lasted to this day!

Therefore, it is RIGHT that the LEFTIST have their Estar eggs and bunnies. But, it is the Christians who are wrongfully applying pagan RITUALS and TRADITIONS OF MEN to such a HOLY time. The FATHER COMMANDED that we observe the PASSOVER, and YEHOSHUA says, DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME.He was referring to the breaking of bread and the drinking of wine.

Yes, it was an alliance between the Roman Emperor and the early Nicene leaders.

Analogous to crony capitalism, what this represented was "crony theism."

Dear Comrade Cabin Boy,

Cue the semi-educated liberal who tries to denigrate Christianity by tying it to paganism without any context at all. As usual, your comments make you sound like you have some sort of a thought disorder. Of course you do, but since you’re an unmedicated liberal, it’s to be expected.
