This is nothing new. The Democratic Party's love affair with Soviet style economics has been around a long time. If my memory serves me correctly, circa 1928, then NY Gov FDR and his merry, if not wayward band of progressive ivy league educated eggheads set sail for the Soviet Union to hook up with the greatest murderer of all time...to learn about the great Soviet economy so they could implement it here in the States. DHE, what else is there? I don't think Rep West is comparing U.S. congressmen to the murderous communist regime of Joseph Stalin. Do you? And I don't think independents would be stupid enough to interpret it that way either. I'm a staunch West supporter. I am not amused. I am dismayed and depressed at the level of socialist/communist thought that pervades in our federal gov't, and I didn't need Rep West to tell me about it.

It is disgusting for a chief executive officer to ask a soldier to go into battle to protect us (including CEO and family) and possibly lay his life on the line, then turn around and cut the funding for such endeavors.
