Insane amounts of cash corrupt just about anyone, look at how lobbying affects our government; for good and for bad. I don't know exactly what happened with the Iran-Contra scandal but I distinctly no heads rolling for the ridiculous idea of trading weapons to known terrorists for the release of hostages. I thought we don't negotiate with terrorists? No heads rolled because Bush Sr. pardoned them all....how convenient. The higher up the friends, the better; not exactly a shining example of justice. I agree that America is the greatest country in the world, but it definitively has severe kinks to fix before it muscles its omnipotent view across the globe.
