All the President was doing was pandering for the middle class vote, the womens vote, the hispanic vote as if his policies will actually help these demographic segments. Let's face it, deficit spending with 16 trillion in debt is not going to pass either house. So even if he manages to get enough brain dead peoples votes to get re-elected, he will be up the creek without the preverbial paddle. He could not implement his Investment (spending) plan.

He also found a new group to blame, the voters. It isn't his fault, it is Bush's fault, conservatives' fault and now it is the fault of the voters. They elected him and it is time for them to elect him again so that he can blame on. Reminds me of a song Blame on, blame on, blame on, blame on; blame it on Bush, blame it on the rich, blame it on tax payers blame it on his pitch - blame through the laughter blame through the tears.

Perhaps the reason for President Obama's flat and energy-less speech Thursday night -- TV cameras panning the convention floor actually showed delegates falling asleep -- was that he already knew Friday's jobs numbers were going to be a disaster. The August unemployment report completely punctured his argument that if you just give him four more years, his policies will solve the economy.
Of course, reading through the speech, I didn't see the word "jobs" mentioned once. In fact, though I could be wrong, I didn't see the word "growth" mentioned once.
What I did see were constant references...
