There is one aspect of a successful person's character that no one is mentioning. As important as hard work, and more important than brain power is DISCIPLINE. Behind every smart (or not so smart), hard working, successful man or woman is the discipline to put off immediate gratification, revenge, greed or whatever in order to keep pushing for that success. Yes, you may have had a sleepless night (or nights) worrying about how you were going to make payroll or pay your taxes, or pay your suppliers but in the morning you got up bright and early and assumed the role of a leader even. That's Discipline. It's a rare quality in America. That is why a fraud like Obama has appeal.

Good point but I would argue there is even one more important trait to every successful person--opportunitism--the desire and ability to sieze on an opportunity and make it successful. There are many disciplined men and women in the world, but sadly not many are opprtunistic.

No, it's more like the loyalty I get from my dog by feeding her.

President Obama blasted American entrepreneurs last weekend, boldly claiming the self-made man is an illusion to an audience in Roanoke, Virginia. Since the Obama apologists in the mainstream media are claiming that the president is being quoted out of context, here is how he led into the subject:

If you've been successful, you didn't get there on your own. You didn't get there on your own. I'm always struck by people who think, well, it must be 'cause I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody...
