You got it right, VaSteve. The right of Secession was spoken of by several of the Founders as the right of a State. Lincoln was totally wrong in sending armed forces against Sister-States that wished to secede. If you accept what is taught in government shcools, you do not ever get the whole story. That's why I always tried to supplement what the textbooks offered with factual outside sources, when I was a history teacher in highschool.

Thank you, Mr. Shapiro, for your stand. As a Christian, I have always admired the Jewish people, and I have enjoyed attending services and weddings with my Jewish friends. I have never understood why so many of them support the liberal left the way some do. I must admit that I financially support the Jews for Jesus organization, but that is because I believe in evangilization of all people. Tom, please illustrate how banks and government have colluded. I do know that under the Clinton administration, banks had to make loans to people for homes who could not really afford those homes. The reason was that the Democrats wanted everyone that wanted a home to have a home. If the banks refused a loan under these circumstances they could receive a tremendous fine and possibly lose their charter. This is what brought about the foreclosures that cost the banking industry dearly and helped bring on the financial problems for the banking industry in general.

Yes, rdk, many may be in graduate or medical or law school, and most are probably married. However, I went to grad school and worked full time, had a wife and carried my own insurance. It can be done. If you are an adult in name only, you better get off the dole from parents and government and really become an adult. Assume responsibility for yourself.
