We should get a team player out there, someone like Bob Dole or John McCain....
It takes an egomaniac to think that people want to hear what you have to say. We all do it, he's just a bit more upfront about it.
I'd like to complain about this column. The Glock is far superior to the Smith and Wesson M & P. I haven't shot the S & W, nor have I held one. I am pretty sure I don't know anything about them. Just like socialism, Glocks are European, and therefore I feel they are better.
Do you read his columns?
Our right to bear arms, as with all our rights, exists independently of governments. These battles need to be fought with the state governments. The Federal government was not conceived for the purpose of protecting the people from the states. We've all been fooled into taking everything to the federal level, where we have minuscule influence, instead of keeping our state and local governments in line, where we have proportionally more power.
Certainly, but usually the mere sight of a pistol will send an attacker running. Stopping power is important but being shot with anything will sway the cost/benefits equation quite a bit. Which .45 are you hoping to get?
This is not a victory for the Second Amendment. This should have been left up to the states. I dislike not being able to carry in some states I visit but this is the wrong way to change that. There will be many legal challenges and confusion if this becomes law.
If these people are considered too dangerous to fly, why are they allowed to remain in our country? Surely a commercial airliner is not the only possible target of a terrorist. I can think of many ways to make more of an impact, so to speak. Or perhaps the problem is that actually deporting these people would really make people question the process that gets one on the list.
