E.W. Jackson and the Republican Party

Great article illustrating one of the many examples why I cannot in good conscience self identify as Republican any longer (and haven't in a long time). That's not to say I don't vote Republican (I mean, come on, consider the alternative!). One of two things is going to happen. A strong libertarian movement is going to infiltrate the existing structure and bring the GOP back to it's roots (we were once classified as classical liberals), or the disenchanted will take their values and move on to form another party (which we are perilously close to doing). If the GOP thinks that can't happen, please ask a Whig (f you can find one).
OK, Townhall did not like my original comment so let me try again: Wilson was the most despicable, evil president in our history. I refuse to go the the National Cathedral in DC out of fear I could not hold back from wee weeing on his grave, and then would have an arrest to contend with. RIEH you b'tard (rest in eternal H E double hockey sticks)! You can figure out what I really said. Townhall readers are pretty smart!

First Amendment Clause-Trophobia

Since the AP scandal broke, and the subsequent the awakening of the press to it's duties as the Fourth Estate, I respond wholeheartedly, "Welcome to the Tea Party!" As has been rightly observed in this piece, the press has been completely uninterested in the current administration's abuses of the 1st Amendment, at least until that portion affecting them was trampled. I'm not naive enough to think Obama's lapdogs will remain engaged, but for now, I'm enjoying the show!
I used to work for this school district. Anytime PCSB makes a bad decision, it "disappoints" me. They disappointed me so frequently that I've been in the private sector for 15 years now.
Zero tolerance = zero brains. How times have changed. I went to a rural high school (graduated in 1983). Most jacked up 4x4s had gun racks in them, many with shotguns and deer rifles on display. I was in a play my senior year, one that required a gun prop. It was well known that I kept the Ruger .357 under my car seat for play practice each afternoon (loaded with blanks). I guarantee you one thing. Columbine or Sandy Hook would not have happened at AHS. We were well armed.
Please, stay in France. Our political problems in this country started with the migration of people out of central Europe in the mid 1800's. They brought their new ideas on governance, which were essentially the teachings of Marx and Engels. They settled in the upper mid West and ultimately spawned the progressive movement. Law abiding citizens exercising their constitutional right to keep and bear arms are not the problem. A culture in decay, rotting from the infection of progressivism, is the problem. The more we can keep your ideas where they belong, on the other side of the pond, the more likely we can cure the infection. How can you be so right on so many issues, yet so incredibly wrong on others?

You are a nut job and need to seek professional help. If this is what you call hate, then sign me up as a HATER!! If anyone is losing the argument, it's your side and you just can't stand it. Talk about a group that spews hate as a modus operandi! Look in a mirror.

I began doing this a long time ago. I would never consider GEICO or Progressive for insurance, even though Progressive does a great job with insuring toys I like (motorcycles and boats). I quit on GE many years ago. I won't even buy one of their light bulbs. When shopping for a dishwasher, I'm sure they had a good product at a good price, but you should have seen the look on the sales person's face, after repeatedly ignoring my intent not to buy a GE product, when I told her I would not even buy it if she sold it to me for $1 and included free delivery and installation. She must have thought I was nuts. Nope, just committed.

Arrest George Zimmerman

Joel182 Wrote: Apr 06, 2012 7:21 AM
You make a statement at the beginning of your narrative as definite truth (that Trayvon did not deserve to die), which the evidence gathered may dispute, and you later imply is incorrect when you say that what happened could be deemed justifiable homicide. If those in the best position to make a determination (the investigators at the scene, those that have the facts, not the innuendoes filtered through the media circus), based on Florida law, say that there is not enough evidence for an arrest, then how can you argue that arresting Zimmerman is lawful? Your logic is tortured at best.
