As with Hostess, its better in the mind of a union boss to put the company out of business rather than give up their benefits. The list of companies that unions have put out of business is staggering.

Sure can't figure out the part about I'd rather give up 100% than 8%.

Although I've got to agree on one thing that has always stuck in my craw. Upper management compensation. There are times these guys award each other bonuses and pay raises that make me want to scream.

Never understood getting a bonus for driving a company into the ground. Oh well.

The sad part about the Hostess situation is that Hostess VOLUNTARILY surrendered their books to the TEAMSTERS Union to be audited to prove the truth of what they were claiming, and THE TEAMSTERS AGREED WITH HOSTESS.
Yet the yahoos in the bakers union chose to put themselves and 18,500 other people PERMANENTLY out of work rather than give up 8% TEMPORARILY.

Another state is poised to join the 23 already known as “Right to Work” states – and of all places, it’s Michigan. Right now, the state legislature is debating a bill freeing employees from mandatory, automatic union dues payment – and the capitol building has been closed to union leaders, owing to concerns about capacity and pedestrian safety. The announcement came this morning from Lansing:

"I think this is what's best for Michigan," the GOP governor said while flanked by House Speaker Jase Bolger, Senate Majority Leader Randy Richardville, Lt. Brian Calley and three union members...
