Most people are economic morons. Not understanding small businesses that bring in 250K and more and 'Rich' people. If the democrats were truly honest, they would suggest taxing accumulated wealth with the exclusion of real estate (farmers & ranchers) Can you imagine the outrate of Buffett if he had an 8% total wealth tax levied on him? Or Kerry and Paul Allen? But without an honest media, the schlubs with their obamaphones will never get it.

You could never get around constitutionally guaranteed protections to inact a tax on wealth. How would you determine net worth, send in IRS agents to take inventory? The 4th ammendment would not allow this.

The sheer audacity of the President's last proposal shows that Obama sees this as the opening salvos of 2014.  Republicans need to do a better job explaining their position in a way that will allow them to make a strong case for themselves (and for electing more of them) in 2014.
