Among hose who were shone on TV responding to the opportunity, I did not see any pants hanging below the butts, no studid macho attitudes; they were showing desire to work to earn these permits. For the Republicans to proceed blindly with cold hearts without options to show they can fit into the American culture is a blunder. At the same time, to open the doors without demanding education and knowlege and deep desire to be part of the culture will kill America. Immigrants love the myth of Mexico. To stay here they need to learn the truth and myths of America - or get out.

Many conservatives reject President Obama's recent policy to defer action against illegal immigrants who came to the United States as children. But as a conservative who supports the president's decision, I think it's important to seriously engage the arguments both for and against the policy.
