Doesn't this result in a huge power shift to party machines and lobbyist's, since they will be the only ones established over a long enough period of time to figure out what they are doing?
There are many professional politicians who are effective because of their long careers, not in spite of it:Chuck Hagel, Neb. Jesse Helms, NC. Theodore Roosevelt, Arlen Specter PA, et cetera. Being a strong voice in state and federal government often requires a lifetime to develop.

This is really dissapointing, and a very cheap trick. This seems beneath you, and disingenuous. When a friend comes to you and tells you of his troubles, you don't honestly try and help? Instead, you use his problems as lead-in for a story that has nothing to do with homosexuality. You are not really walking with God on this one.

Why are you holding up Lombard as being representative of gays or episcopalians? He is neither. He is obviously a monster who should either be incarcerated for the rest of his life, or executed. That's like saying Timothy McVeigh represents heterosexuals, or Rev. Jim Jones represents evangelicals, or Terry Sanford represents republican politicians.
