It is like the middle ages when the church had the Bible in Latin and didn't want anyone to read or interpret it but the priests. You could get in trouble for translating the Bible into the language of the people. The weren't capable of comprehending these spiritual truths without the guidance of the priest. As Bacon said "Knowledge is power" But some want to control that knowledge and prevent the people from knowing what is going on to put their spin on things.
